The staff were friendly and gave great recommendations, like visiting The Banshee around the corner. The location made it easy to explore the area and enjoy some local pubs.
My kids wished there were more play areas for them to enjoy. Although it was a decent stay, a few family-friendly amenities would enhance the experience.

Comfortable Stay for Groups with Room for Improvement
Our group stayed for 4 nights in a budget double room. Sharing with others was a bit awkward, especially at night with noisy bunk beds. Hopefully, the noise issues get resolved. Explore local eateries nearby for great food options. Our late-night snack was a hit!

Location near public transportation made getting around easy. The shared kitchen had plenty of space and decent appliances to prepare meals.
The Comfort Triple Room was misleadingly advertised with a single bed that turned out to be a cheap cot with loose springs, which didn't suit our 15-year-old son. The overall accommodation felt cramped, limiting comfort during our two-night stay. Noise from other guests made it hard to relax at times.

Recommended for budget travelers
It was refreshing to connect over meals and share stories, reminded me of the bond over chemistry experiments in school. They had free bathroom products, unexpected and solid for the price.
It was acceptable, though not exactly a steal.

I had a great time here, especially enjoying the late-night chats in the kitchen and the clean, comfy beds. The game room and cozy lounge were perfect for unwinding after a busy day. Just a heads up, the nearby train station felt a bit sketchy at night, but it didn’t dampen my stay at all! 🌟

comfortable but lacking some amenities
My bed in the shared dorm was clean and quite comfy. I enjoyed chatting with fellow travelers in the kitchen while preparing meals with groceries from the nearby Star Market.
I found that some common areas could use more upkeep.

The staff at this hostel were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our romantic escape even more enjoyable. They provided great recommendations for local attractions and dining options. the cleanliness of the room and comfortable mattress exceeded our expectations, ensuring a comfortable and restful stay. The location was convenient, with easy access to public transportation and nearby shopping centers.
It would have been helpful if the hostel had provided cleaning supplies for guests to use. the neighborhood surrounding the hostel was a bit less desirable, but we found solace in knowing that a beach was within a reasonable walking distance and the JFK museum was not far either.

I recently stayed at Homestel in Boston for a short trip and it was a great experience. The location was incredibly convenient, just off the JFK/umass line and easily accessible from the airport. What stood out to me was the knowledgeable and welcoming staff who made me feel right at home. The hostel had everything I needed, including hot water and a useful kitchen. The dorm room I stayed in was comfortable, and despite the number of guests, it didn't feel overcrowded. a fantastic place to stay with friendly staff and a great location.
I do recommend this hotel.

The staff at this hostel were friendly and polite. They were always responsive when I approached them with any issues or questions. the location of the hostel was great as well, as it was within walking distance of several restaurants and breweries. This made it convenient to explore the area and try out different dining options.
There were several aspects of this hostel that were disappointing. the rooms did not have lockers, curtains for privacy, or individual lamps for each bed.

The staff at Homestel was cute and friendly. They took the time to show us around and made us feel at home. Despite the small sign above the doorbell, the house itself was nicely decorated and had a comfortable feel to it.
There were no lockers in the dorm rooms, a bit inconvenient for security. the hotel is located in a neighborhood that is a bit far from attractions, so transportation is necessary to get around.

I recently stayed at a hostel in Boston called Homestel and had a great experience. I was there for a few days and met some amazing people, including two girls I spent a lot of time with. The cleanliness of the bathrooms and other areas was impressive and something I really value. The beds, while not amazing, were still comfortable, and the hostel was quiet at night. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a microwave, water boiler, and some extra supplies for coffee and tea. The hostel also provided a solid internet connection and was conveniently located near the train station. One of the highlights was the nearby beach that we could easily walk to.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great value for money and the room was decent.
The breakfast menu could use some improvement, maybe adding more variety.
